[PFS NL] Re: Starting beginners saturdays again at Subcultures

Putting it more visible is indeed a interesting approach, though that table is really small. Is there a way to extend it for example?

We could also maybe rotate this to other gamestores like the Lab, Joker perhaps?

Back when I first introduced the subculture saturdays we did not really have any mainstream quests yet, so this might be a opportunity.

Recent discussions brought up the topic of the beginner saturdays at subcultures. They've died a quiet death, but there is still room for them.
Subcultures likes to host them in the above ground shop. And there are people asking about beginner play oppurtunities.

The format in which they were provided was not entirely optimal. Sometimes there were not enough players, so you would need to (last minute) recruit from the experienced player base. And sometimes you would have to many experienced players fill in spots so it was hardly a newbie game.

To try and see if we can get the newbie games back of the ground I would like to discuss how to do this with the community.
Current idea is to run a table at the above ground shop (in the window), once a month. This gives the subcultures more time to recruit.

My idea is that we might offer the quests every month. If we aim to do three quests, with both Silverhex and Phantom, we would have enough content for four months, after which you can cycle back again.
This would put less strain on the GMs as quests are easier to prepare. Running three in an afternoon leaves enough room for walk-ins to join.

If we approach this with a standpoint of, ' try this cool game system out, and if you like it come play with us '  it would make it more relaxed for everyone. For the GM as you can be a bit more lax with the rules. (no need for a four player table, ect.), as the focus would be on explaining the game system, not PFS initially. And for the players, as they can try out the game system, without feeling they ended up in a weird sales pitch for a cult ;)
Of course, if they are interested in playing more... ;)

This is of course my idea how to approach this. I would love to hear your ideas how to set this up in a way we all can have fun.
