Re: [PFS NL] Re: Sessiontracker: The (limited) beta

if it works though, everyone from paizo will want it for conventions =D

You could rank scenarios based on least-played followed by your choice of alphabet/season etc.

If scenarios also show who's played them from [the currently selected players], you're close to your suggestion model.

Computing an optimal set of scenarios though is a more complex ("interesting") programming exercise; there are a lot of different possible situation requiring different solutions. (i.e. total # of players, total # of tables,  are all players equally constrained, can we assign players to scenarios or do they get to make signup decisions from a menu etc.)

yeah, group of 6 / one table is nice for when you can already figure who is coming to the game.

for conventions, it'd be nice to plug in what players, what tier they're hoping to play, and have it sort them at least...

if it could take 12 people w/ their full history and figure out suggestions for 2 tables or 3 tables, that'd be the holy grail

If your pool of players is big enough, eventually you're going to need partial matches though, or you need to exclude first one, then the other, then the third player from the filter, to find something playable.

well, what scenario has been played at a location is kind of a general way to get around to the question: what can we run there that people haven't played yet?

the biggest thing i always wanted in a tracking tool is to be able to select a group of people ( 10, 12, whatever, at least/most groups of 6 ) and get suggestions on what scenarios they have not played yet. ( even better if i can add in an option for what scenarios i haven't run yet or have run already )

Some other ideas for features:

- GM filter, just like the player filter, but a separate box; useful when you're looking to score some GM credit.

- On the scenario listing, a sort of progress tracker (red/green bar; red for people who've already played it), so you can easily see how many people have (red) and haven't (green) played the scenario yet. If you mouseover the red, you get people who've already played it as alt-text, and on the green you get potential victims.

- Have locations as "players", so that we can also filter for scenarios that haven't yet been played at a location. For example, we have stores in Den Haag, Leiden and Delft with people coming to one or more of them. By now enough has been played that it gets harder and harder to track what hasn't been run there.
