Two smaller boxes is possible, though I have to keep the extra small resolutions (phones in mind).

I can indeed keep the filters in place, interesting idea.

And I agree with the earlier poster that vertical checkboxes feel strange; we read left-to-right by default, not top-to-bottom.

Could you make the page so that only the scenario list scrolls if I use my mousewheel, and the interface doesn't scroll out of view?
