Re: [PFS NL] Re: Utrecht PFS Night Survey

Sorry I've not had time to weigh in on this, some personal life issues (hence also my bad attendance at the gaming night atm)

I can say a few things about the locations mentioned:

(1) The subcultures backroom: It is loud and there at max two tables. We are welcome on saturdays that they do not have anything else planned. Also they will not keep the shop open for it. I checked on this.
(2) Alright cards in the open here: Lab is interested, but there is a caveat. If we go Lab then the Sub will probably not be very happy, and I agree with them because we have been having a good working relationship with the Sub. The Lab does not want to host for just once, they would want to always host or not at all. It is a bit more complicated then that, but it is the jist of it.
(3) It is unlikely that that room is going to be available, but the Sub said they would try (but they are now suggesting a different place for tabletop so.. doubt it)
(4) Unused room in the university building? I don't know what building you mean, but I do work for the University and university buildings close at 22:00 max. They also tend to not go for things like this, because then they open the floodgates. If you mean a building run by students somewhere, that would be different.

Bottomline: Things we are going to try for now:
- 25th march: New location for RPG-ing, fee 5 euros.
- Sometime once Vincent and I can arrange it: A PFS night in HAL16 a bit further out of the centre.

We shall evaluate after those two and then keep Gerard's survey in mind. Based on that we could explain to the Sub where we stand and if neccesary I can activate my connections at the Lab.

Greets,

Simon

More Results, 25 responses:

Wednesday and Thursday are almost equal when each respondent gets one vote.

Top 5 for the people that want to Play/ GM every week:

Silent Venue 81%
Bring own food: 70%
10 minutes Public transport from CS:  55%
No entrance fee: 48%
Walking distance from CS: 41%

I think the following way of looking at the results is the most fair:
All results weighted for attendance (25% attendance = 25% of influence, 50% attendance = 50% of influence and so on)
Silent Venue 83%
Bring own food: 64%
10 minutes Public transport from CS:  53%
Walking distance from CS: 47%

Wednesday 39%
No entrance Fee: 39%
Thursday: 36%
Possible to buy drinks: 32%
Part of Game nights: 32%

Possible to buy snacks: 23%
Possible to buy food: 21%
Free Parking: 13%

There is a clear ranking in the top 4, the next 5 items have very similar scores. If I where to perform statistical tests on these 5 items I do not think they are significantly different (in other words: it is just as likely that part of game nights would rank first in this group, given our small sample of only 25 reactions). The latter 3 are clearly the least important to us as a group (although they can be very important for some people)
