i'm telling ya, it should just be considered a "fighting style" now that they're out there. a stance you turn on with a swift or free action or something. =)

"You must choose to use this feat before making an attack roll and its effects last until your next turn."but yeah, if you do something where your attacking to hit, not to damage, like a maneuver or some special attack, and then switching to damaging after that, it can be useful. as SKR says, "All are valid options. Some are poor choices, but they are still valid choices."if your priority is to just pop images, and you don't want the -1 or -2, then great. but you could still hit him, and most fighters i know would rather go for the blood =)--On Thu, Jul 30, 2015 at 12:26 PM, Floris Kraak <rand...@gmail.com> wrote:A simple example for that exception: Enemy spellcaster running mirror image with only 1 image left. Usually, you'll want to have your first attack deal the best damage anyway, but not always.

I found why i thought power attack was only changed on your turn: 3.5 had it built in that it was decided on your turn before any attack rolls for the turn. pathfinder changed it, and while other GMs noticed or had new players point it out to them earlier, I'd just never seen a player *WANT* to turn on power attack mid routine. The forum even points out that it makes Furious Focus useless, b/c whoever wrote FF was accustomed to the 3.5 way of thinking where it would always be a benefit on the first attack made, not the first power attack made for the round. On Thu, Jul 30, 2015 at 11:27 AM, Vince <seraph...@gmail.com> wrote:it was a forum rule-of-thumb, i think based on the fiasco of the Scorpion Whip. Then again, if you could use outdated versions, that would also create weird situations if something is printed in 3-4 sources, which does happen now and then.People keep referring to this "use the latest version" rule, but nobody's ever been able to show it. I think it's folklore. Also, it doesn't make total sense. The idea behind Additional Resources is that you both give Paizo money, and have a rules resource handy for the GM to check what you're doing. If the text you're using isn't actually the real text of the resource anymore, the second point is dead.--On Thu, Jul 30, 2015 at 10:51 AM, Vince <seraph...@gmail.com> wrote:that or next week they'll have the UE errata out =)--On Thu, Jul 30, 2015 at 10:50 AM, Vince <seraph...@gmail.com> wrote:wasn't there some ruling that the latest printing/ revision of an item is the one acceptable for pfs use? 2nd printing/errata of ARG would be later than UE, even though UE came out after ARG 1st printing. some things to take into consideration:
*Page 149—In the mask of stony demeanor spell, change
"Price 500 gp" to "Price 8,000 gp" and "Cost 250 gp" to
"Cost 4,000 gp".
*All elf and aasimar oracle favored class bonuses that add to your level for revelations are changed from 1/2 per level to 1/6th per level (Noo! My tiger! :P)
*Page 49—At the end of the last paragraph of the paragon
surge spell description, add "The first time each day
that you cast this spell, you must select a feat and make
all the associated choices that come with it. Once that
choice is made, it is set for the day and additional
castings must make the exact same decisions."
According to the new Guide to Organized Play, all of you who bought a mask of stony demeanor for 500 can sell it for full price or upgrade it to the current version by paying 7500 extra.
