So the rumours in the grapevine are that the Dutch Game Garden is moving and there will not be room for the game night at their new location (near the Jaarbeurs). This is true.

At the moment their plan is to have the last game night be on the 29th.

Of course I have been working with the Subcultures to find a replacement option. I am glad to say that we found something. As with all change some of it will be good, some of it will be bad. On average people should be happy though.

So what is it? First of all: This is a heads up. The details will be along a bit later. The location is a non commercial bar/pub that has room for gaming and is creating even more room for gaming. I have not seen the location myself yet, but am told it is a little bit closer to the station then the DGG, so that is good. It also opens before 18:00 and you can have dinner there if you want for 8-12 euros. A downside is that to cover costs the Subcultures has to go with a 'do not bring your own drinks (and perhaps food)' policy. That means you will have to purchase some drinks during the evenings, against slightly better then commercial horeca prices, to cover the costs. We alrteady did this a bit with the beers that got sold for example. It is just a truth that you will not find a 'free' venue anymore. We were very lucky with the DGG. We have chased other leads, but they all have either the same 'issue' or are just too far away from the station (thanks for offering your houses people! You know who you are!)

Now then there is another change, that is that the game night will move from thursday to wednesday. I have mailed the Utrecht GMs about this and found that only one of them was ruled out. Now this date was not negotiable, but it seems most people seem to like the change. I hope that our players will also like the change.

I will be posting the final details about this new game night location as soon as I have them.

This change of venue is also the reason that we have not planned any sessions in february yet. I will add those as soon as things are set in stone.
