We've calculated the player-to-GM-ratio at 5:1 at the moment. That way, if any of the GMs has to drop out, we'll still have enough for all the players. Since we're not expecting any GMs to drop out at this point - baring any last minute disasters - she should have a place at one of the tables, no problem.
It's fine deciding which character to play on the day itself, as long as we know which tier you're in. It's so we know how many tables of each tier we need to accomodate all players.
